Advanced Theory and Leadership

What is the PADI Divemaster course?

How do I book the following classes?
After completing your first class, your instructor will help you schedule your next sessions based on your performance and availability. You can rest assured that our dive center operates Tuesday through Sunday, making it easy to adapt to your pace.

How advanced do I need to be before taking this course?
To enroll in the PADI Divemaster course, you need at least 40 logged dives and Rescue Diver certification. However, you don’t need to be a professional diver before starting. The course takes you through every aspect of dive leadership, and we’ll prepare you for everything you need to know.
Is it possible to work as a Divemaster after getting certified?
Absolutely. Once certified as a PADI Divemaster, you’ll be able to work at dive centers anywhere in the world. You’ll be able to lead dives, supervise divers, and assist in teaching PADI courses. Additionally, you can continue your training toward the Instructor course, which will greatly expand your employment opportunities.
Does the PADI Divemaster course include any demanding physical training?
Yes, the course requires adequate physical fitness. During the program, you’ll complete several water stamina assessments, including swimming and surface diving. While the tests aren’t extremely demanding, it’s important to have good physical condition to pass them and enjoy the course.
What equipment do I need for the course? Do I need to have everything before enrolling?
As a future Divemaster, you’re expected to have your own basic dive equipment, including mask, fins, snorkel, regulator, BCD, dive computer, and wetsuit. However, at our dive center in Quintay, we can lend you additional equipment if needed.
